Saved game editor

Ronald Hoffman developed a tool to edit saved games of The Witcher Enhanced Edition. This editor can notably edit:

  • experience and gold
  • bronze, silver and gold talents
  • attributes (strength, dexterity, stamina, intelligence)
  • signs (Aard, Igni, Quen, Axii, Yrden)
  • styles (Strong/Fast/Group Steel, Strong/Fast/Group Silver)

You can download it here: The Witcher Enhanced Editor version (more info).
Additional tools (editor for the original version of The Witcher, utility to handle KEY and BIF files) are available on the official website.

Most common problems

  • Windows 7 is not supported in the original version. However some download versions (notably the one available at GOG) are patched to work properly in Windows 7 (both 32 and 64 bits).
  • On Windows Vista 32 bits, the game can exhaust the virtual address space. The issue is fixed in Vista SP1 or in this hotfix.
