Here is a short guide to edit a page on Wiki4Games. The video at the end shows an example with titles, hidden comments, a link and a list.

  1. Go to the page you want to edit.
  2. Click on "Edit" at the top.
  3. You are now ready to edit the page source, in wiki syntax. Here are some elements you need to know:
    • To make a second-level title called "Hitman", the syntax is: ==Hitman==
    • To make a third-level title called "Screenshots", the syntax is: ===Screenshots===
    • To make a fourth-level title called "First mission", the syntax is: ====First mission====
    • To make a link to the page named "Far Cry", the syntax is: [[Far Cry]]
    • To make a list, the syntax is:
    * first item
    * second item
    * third item
    • To make a hidden comment, the syntax is: <!-- this is a comment -->
    Hidden comments are useful to put small important notice for other editors. You probably won't need to use them, but you need to know how they work, because you are bound to see some when you use templates.
    • To add a line break, use <br/>
    • To include a template, the syntax is: {{template name}}, for instance {{stub}}
  4. At any time, you can click on "Show preview" at the bottom of the page to see what the page looks like.
  5. When you're done, click on "Save page".
