The visual layout (and also, to a lesser degree, the mechanical layout) of keyboards vary depending on countries. However, in many cases, and particularly in older games, the functional layout remains the same, particularly when dealing with cheat codes. So to help you convert between QWERTY cheats and your localized keyboard, we list here a few common keyboard layouts.

QWERTY

The QWERTY layout is the most common layout on English-language computer keyboards.

The AZERTY layout is used in several French-speaking countries, among which France and Belgium.

Dvorak

The Dvorak Simplified Keyboard (DSK) is the best-known alternative to QWERTY, also known as the American Simplified Keyboard (ASK).
