[edit] Minimum system requirements (PC)
According to the game manual, in order to run this game your PC must meet or exceed the following requirements:
- Windows 95/98/ME/2000/XP
- Pentium II 200MHz processor or equivalent
- 32 MiB of RAM
- 1.4 GB free hard disk space
- DirectX 7.0 compatible video card with 4 MiB of VRAM
- DirectX 7.0 compatible sound card
- Keyboard and mouse

According to MacSoft[1], the system requirement for Mac are:
- A 200 MHz processor
- Mac OS 8.1 or higher
- 32 MiB of RAM
- 850 MB free hard drive space
- CD-ROM drive

[edit] Cheat codes
During the game, hold the CTRL key while you type one of the following codes:
- pesos: adds $20,000 to the island's funds
- exacto: opens a window to edit the island's funds (so, more practical than "pesos" to get large amount of money)
- rapido: toggles on/off instant building. It will also let you build buildings for which you don't meet the building requirements.
- contento: increases population happiness by 10 points
- editor: enables the editor (see the editor section below)
- economicdifficulty: edit economic difficulty
- politicaldifficulty: edit political difficulty
[edit] Editor mode
To enable the editor mode, hold down CTRL and type editor. You can then access the following editing tools by pressing the corresponding hotkeys:
- U: add units (spawn people, boats, planes, etc)
- P: "paint" ground (set the ground terrain type)
- V: vegetation editor
- F: fill terrain tool (same as paint but instead of a paintbrush tool this one is a bucket fill tool)
- Z: bulldozer tool
- Shift + O (the letter o): add buildings
- Shift + M: paint minerals (like paint ground but adds minerals into the gound, you can add gold, iron and bauxite)
